La maison Carré is the renovated former 16th century ferry house in Angles-sur-l'Anglin, one of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France.
The house has a unique atmosphere and is the ideal place for two to enjoy.
The house is beautifully situated on the banks of the river Anglin, overlooking the ruins of the Château. It owes its name to the Carré family who owned the house during past generations. It was transformed into a romantic accommodation for two, tastefully decorated and furnished with a mix of brocante finds.
La maison Carré has three floors, a private garden where you can sit under the giant Magnolia Grandiflora and has a private beach (to be shared with your hosts) with direct access to the river.
The barque is there waiting for you for aperitifs or picnics on the water. There is parking at the back of the orchard.

On the ground floor you go through the entrance hall to the spacious bathroom with double walk-in shower, sink and toilet.
Shower together in style on the original tiled floor. Fresh towels are available, along with essential toiletries. The bathroom overlooks the river and the chateau.
The first floor offers a large living space with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge. Electric heating is also available for colder days. We have provided an information booklet with our tips on local dining, flea markets and places of interest, as well as maps of popular walking routes.
Along with general kitchen accessories, the following essentials can be found:
induction stove with four hobs,
fridge with freezer compartment,
toaster and kettle,
Nespresso machine and French press,
spices,
all kitchen accessories,
kitchen linen

Enter through the open staircase into the airy bedroom under the roof truss.
